Service Above Self

The service efforts of Rotary Club of Male’ were established even before the Club was officially registered with engagement and gifts to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN); a partnership that has been sustained through 14 years of service. In this vein, we are in the process of initiating a Rotary Global Grant project in Dh. Kudahuvadhoo, targeting to build a specialized Centre for rehabilitation and therapeutic needs focusing 3 atolls in the Maldives.

Additionally, during the first year of operation, Rotary Club of Male’ installed the freshwater desalination project in Adh. Dhigurah and have continued several community projects in 5 separate islands. Of further note is that for the 5th year running we completed the delivery of a ‘care package’ for needy families for the advent of Ramazan this year too.

The District 3220 Business Conference is an initiative of Rotary Club of Male’. This year the Conference is held at Addu, targeting the wealth of resources and unique opportunities in trade and commerce of the Southern Atolls of Maldives. The conference will seek to identify and establish partnerships and trading communities between Sri Lanka and Maldives
